Attached is an Excel file that I have produced, detailing the different aspects of the 1 in 4 Saturdays off Menu of Options that we have agreed to use in Huddersfield’s Delivery Methods Revision.

This has been developed with the purpose of copying them for members, and using them in a WTL session on the question of attendance patterns and 1 in 4 Saturdays off. These sessions are planned for Wednesday, before we start handing out any Attendance and Duty Pattern Surveys.

I thought you might find the info useful.

The reason there are only 5 Examples, is that we have ruled out having any 1 in 6 Saturday off duties (included for comparison only), and we have ruled out using models that rely on part-time staff never getting Saturdays off. We have 60% Full-Time and 40% Part-Time, or worse, as a ratio, in the North East, and we want all members to get 1 in 4 Saturdays off.

The CWU North East Divisional Delivery Committee has agreed to push for 1 in 4 Saturdays off for everyone before the end of the BT agreement in March 2013.

Know of 2 FTs who want the 52 hour week option

Not for me - okay you get a whole week off but you work 3x 52hr weeks over 6 days = 18 days straight .

Is there anyone on this and what's your view after you have done it for a while. Is it worth it, what's your recovery levels like, how long are you out on delivery etc.

Excellent post, this will be most useful, however there is only one option with P/T staff in and this only works on 75%FT to 25%PT or am I missing something ??????

Teebs we are on it ( the 52 hour thing) many did not want it - but now you try and take it away and there would be uproar! we love it - if you want lots of time off with the family you can have it or if you want docket and work your week off you can have it

the week off gives you plenty of time for recovery and you can tag it to a/l - it seems like we are never there - all for an extra 40 mins a day - grab it with both hands

When we have our revision, i`ll certainly be suggesting this option,More days off the better imo.
