I have booked a holiday later in the year, going on a friday night. My day off is saturday that week, then the following week I'm on leave. Just heard that delivery methods are coming in asap and will probably be in before I go on holiday. So I am thinking I will be unlikely to get the same saturday off on any new duty, once all the new duties are in. The question is, am I entitled to the saturday off regardless? I've looked at that week and it is fully booked so no option to book the saturday as a holiday.
My first thoughts are that I am entitled to it, providing I take it as leave, but I can see the manager saying something like, 'you knew these changes were coming before you booked the holiday, you shouldn't have assumed you had that day off'. This is true, but I just figured that the managers have constantly been saying that del methods were coming in over the past few years, so I stopped taking any notice.
