Annual leave protection

Post by flutty »

Hi,

I'm after a little advice. I've recently transferred from Royal Mail Finance to PFW Sales, on a forced move due to an office closure, and I (and a few colleagues) have been bombarded with incorrect information for nearly a year as to what our rights are in relation to the job change.

It seems the pay protection is pretty clear cut, as it's clearly stated in the MTSF that we will stay on our current pay grade 'in perpetuity', but the latest issue is that our new PFW manager claims we are no longer entitled to the six weeks leave entitlement we've built up, as Royal Mail and PFW have different agreements as to when you're eligible to the full six weeks.

Despite the fact that we've received no official notification that our leave is being reduced, we are also struggling to get confirmation from anyone is either HR or the Union as to whether annual leave is protected in the same way that pay is.

Any advice anyone could give would be gratefully received, especially if it's specific information I could pass to my local union rep to allow them to finally resolve this issue for us.

Many thanks,

Flut

to be honest i am unsure but i would think it depends on how long you have been employed by royal mail

six weeks hoiliday entitlement equates to 20 years service so can you confirm your length of service

i would think the contracts of employment would all be the same as such

as it was a forced moved i would think you will have to have honoured all your past contractual arangements as you are still employed by royal mail. MTSF should cover this as TUPE is irrelevant as it is still ROYAL MAIL
GROUP LTD
being the employer

like i said

this is just my own personal opinion
