Been working in another office this week - it's a complete mess since they went to van sharing. I hardly had chance to talk to anyone there but was wondering what happens to the people on 5 hour contracts when this comes in? If each walk is 4.5 hours do they still have people on a 5 hours contract as it seems tight to me?

If by 5hr contracts you mean 5hrs/day - 25hr contracts:
3x 8hr 20 days, or 4x 6hr 15 days.

Most of our 25hr contacts moved to a 3 day week.
One guy didn't want to.
We made a delivery-only stand-alone duty for him.
His large packets,specials and tracked went to one of the firms duties.

Ah thanks. Yes thats what I meant, I wondered if they just gave you more hours but working less days makes sense.

The duty just reverts to prep and delivery and a full-time reserve covers it.
Still stand-alone though.
