Advise regarding p/l cut off

Today was very heavy and my P/L round had over a york of big packets.
I am the walker and I told the DOM I was cutting off 2 loops.
I guessed that I would finish at cut off time by what I had taken out.
The Dom got one of the drivers on light duties to take all our big packets out.
This then made my partner on the smaller loops being the driver have an easier round.
My partner who is only worried about himself had some extra docket set up for after our round and when I was to start my last loop offered to do half for me and take my PDA back so he could get his docket earlier.
This then made me finish 20 minutes earlier than my cut off. The driver then drove back to the office himself( as I live near my walk) and the DOM who isnt normally there said why have you finished early.and text me saying "I take it you missjudged your finish time then" to which I replied "no , I would have finished at cut off time but my partner did half my last loop".
I know its getting rediculous and these DOM's are getting so petty. They forget when you go over by 10-15 minutes sometimes.
What should I do if he makes a big thing about it?
Should I say to him that when Arsenal are on live at midday he sneaks of early

Don't take this the wrong way, why are you even sending a reply by text on your personal mobile phone? Or is it a RM provided mobile phone to you?
