we were preping mail first then making door2doors the old way without it going into frame then delivering them the double slots are a nightmare and if you prep your door2door firdt wont that slow down your times for prep of mail

thought it was national agreements as we have just been told today that its changing to this way as some lazy people cant be bothered doing dooor2doors and too many beign returned so was just wandering what happens elsewhere

these things should have been thrashed out by your rep in a local agreement prior to the revision going live

This is one of the many f**k ups in this agreement. There was a national agreement originally but now it seems to be in the hands of the local rep and dim to agree to something. We have idiots, that come in before their time (i kid you not) and chuck in ALL d2d's for the week. Im sure there was a leaflet/poster going round with how they were meant to be done (16% a day, and list on frame off which areas to do on specific days) but i aint seen it for ages and it certainly isnt followed at our place.

before i sign off any revision, i will be making sure nobody enters the office any earlier than 10 minutes before there start time, by local agreement

if royal mail use iwt, then it will be accurate and fair to people who do the job correctly

the iwt is what your outdoor span is based on

if they can shave minutes off the iwt and add extra delivery points on the outdoor span

Local agreements regarding D2D are fine but what happens if the local agreement isn't working and D2D are failing?
The National Agreement basically says the walkholder can do what he likes as long as the D2D get delivered.
However prepping D2D into double slots is problematic.
Prepping D2D before the mail into double slots would seem pointless and counter productive.
Isn't there ongoing trials/talks about D2D and double slots anyway?
