I cut off most days and leave just over 2 rows in the frame for docket for another postman.
This postman gets 4 hours docket ,
If I went over and completed the round it would have taken me 1 and a half hours extra, and thats all he will give me.
Can I claim more?

No - You book what it takes you if you go over/extend.

The postman who takes it isn't obliged to and probably won't touch it for less than 4 hours so your manager has to agree to that to get it took out. It's not an automatic 4 hour thing - more supply and demand. Your manager has a job that needs doing and people won't do it for less than 4 hours OT - the manager ends up having to pay the 4 hours. Sounds like the postman who takes it is doing the right thing and holding out for a good price - or it could be blatant favouritism

You could try offering to take it for 3.5 hours - though if all the OPG's in your office have agreed to not taking cutoffs for less than 4 I'd advise against it. I've seen people undercutting others for OT and it's a very slippery slope. Our office is now a standard 6 hours OT for coming in on your day off and doing an 8 hour duty And there's no shortage of dicks who come in and do it.

thats how it works keep cutting off then if hes going to favour his buddy

this is an issue raised in our office.folks struggling on their duties and getting paid the amount they work over
fair enough
but folks on the easier walks(yes they still exist) can get their full duty done,do OT and get a premium for doing it

but folks on the easier walks(yes they still exist) can get their full duty done,do OT and get a premium for doing it

I think this just proves that all walks are equal but some are more equal than others.
