LOCAL or NATIONAL agreements

I hate local agreements.

The CWU HQ seem to push everything down to local level

The result ? Some offices get a much better deal than others. (e.g. some offices have 3.5 hour delivery spans and others have 6 hour spans -- Some have summer lapsing and some lapse duties all year round )

We all pay the same dues so I think that we should all get the same T&C's

I thought the point of being in a union was about us all being united, helping the weaker offices get the same deal as the stronger offices

The culture of having local agreements has allowed RM to pick off mail centres & offices one at a time

What do YOU think ?

dead right. we should have a little red book, like chairman mao, which everyone from landsend to john o groats should abide to.
