Today was pathetically easy,We got out at 9.15 and both said lets whizz it off asap for an early dart,Rare since the changes.

We bombed the rounds,Knowing we could make good time due to the lack of mail.

We got back to the office at 12.30pm Finish time was 2.30pm knock off meal break turns it to 1.50pm so made 1 hour 20 mins.

We were 1st back,The boss said we were too early and had to go out and do some parcels as he couldn't be seen to let us go home so early? What the hell?

Penalised for being efficient,So now when we get a stupidly busy day and may go over 10-15 mins the mail will be brought back,No danger.

We said what are we supposed to do,Drag our feet? He replies "Yes" You cant get back too early,It really is unreal.

Looks like next tuesday we are off to a Cafe for an hour or so.

I understand the temptation to get on a flyer evey now and then but it clearly is not worth it in your office as you seem to have a manager who knows his beans and is not going to let you get away with it.

Your best bet is to slow down to a slower managable pace and have a couple of coffee breaks in the van then come back on your time.

Ive given up flying around and although our manager still lets people go home at 12 noon (or before) i now work my time and feel less stressed for it, mad but true.

Come in early and skip your break...that should give you time to complete your duty and get the parcels done and maybe even finish 5 minutes early..

OK let me try and explain, when you come back early your sign off times tell that tale and so eventually that sort of info is reported to your dom's boss along with the time you got out!

If this becomes often then your dom will get hit with extra savings and when he/she says where am i supposed to get hese hours from, some knob suit will go on such and such a day when traffic was this, so many ppl finished at x or even better so many ppl left the office at x. The decline in mail means this early time is going to get hit more often therefore pls let us rape you now!!!!

Never ever get back early man, wtf you thinking, the rules have changed. What ppl dont understand is evertime you leave early it gets registered and they are not as stupid as once wereif traffic is FA and you leave an hour early they know you arent out till your time. SOOOOO here is a difficult one, DONT EVEN COME IN EARLY!

I thought it was still job and finish? In our office if we get our rounds finish before our finish time no matter what time that is we can just go home. No matter if there are vacant rounds to go out or parcels left. They can't make you do any more coz we've done our round for that day. Anything more is overtime

We had an office like yours near to us during their revision they had 8 duties taken out in an office of 40 the rep from that office bragged the same as you at our quarterly meetings, don't think he will be bragging at the next one.

Yes but there are days every now and again that we will finish early. They can't make you do any more if you've finished your own round before time though can they?
