Another injury

Was off last Jamuary for 3 months with torn ligaments and 3 months rehab .

Slipped while working about a month ago and hurt the other leg but decided to work through the pain and never reported it .

Thursday night while playing football i felt a tear or pop in my knee and hit the deck . Casualty confirmed ive either torn ligaments or meniscus .

Question is ..... If im gonna be off a while I take it this will be another stage warning ??

Lastly Im due holidays in June . If im still off will these be lost ?

What a time to be off work when its lovely outside . Perfect delivery weather .

You wont lose your holidays.And yes it's a stage 2.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Sorry to hear that calpsy :sad:

You should get that leave back if your still off sick :Very Happy I guess you will get a stage warning though :sad:

But what can you do as if you try to work through it you will just do more damage.

Yeah the point about not reporting it and working through it was obviously to NOT take more time off . Am I right in saying this will not be a work related absense even though it was triggered by it ??? My fault .

So would the manager just add my holidays back on or will i have to tell him ?

Not looking forward to the docs on Tuesday as I still cant straighten my leg and can hardly walk .

It will be hard to prove that it started at work esp as you were playing football when it happened :hmmmm

Tbh i doubt it will make a lot of diff to RM anyway. Nothing you can do now but rest it iam afraid and perhaps try to get back on inside light duties once you can walk again.

I did read it all, and I'm tstill thinking... but not for too long :Very Happy Original inury to one leg, time off sick followed by rehab. 2nd injury to OTHER leg whilst playing football! What was the question?

Yeah in hindsight I shouldve but i thought i could work through it and it get better .

But as someone mentioned it doesnt matter where or why or when it happened as its gonna trigger another stage anyway .

If you want then to.
If you have two weeks booked in Spain you might still want to go...that's where it gets tricky...going off to Spain while you're on the sick is...iffy. :nervous
Need to sign off the sick but then what do you do when you come back....go back to the doctors?
