As regards new deal- (oldish deal now that i didn't sign up for but have to put up with) when new revision comes in as a postman your are supposed to be given 4-6 weeks until payment is given- it is now 8 weeks(at least) and no payment. I want to know what is going on with our offices payment of £600 pro-rota each(more of a question for the union). Should we not get compensation for late payment? That is against the terms of the agreement so breaching the new contract.

We are are well overdue for our bonus for revision(at our office) which was supposed to be be 4-6 weeks of our revision and now in week 8 at least and no sign of our bonus. What should we (at our office do) as it's got to be against our agreement. Our union rep does seem to do anything so i thought i post here.

I think after a certain time your rep can go to disagreement, however, past logjams appear to be at area/regional level so your DOM may have no control. Might be worth contacting your area rep as well.

Lump Sum Payments

Finally we are aware that there has been a delay in the payment of lump sums in some areas which thus far we have managed to deal with on a unit by unit basis. In some cases the delay has been quite considerable, up to 4 months after deployment, which is completely unacceptable. Branches and Representatives should be aware that Royal Mail accept that the longest delay should be no more than 3 weeks from deployment which is due to administration reasons. Following a discussion at the recent NDG Royal Mail were informed that we would issue guidance on this point in the following terms. Local revision agreements should be signed off and include a statement confirming the type of revision, the amount of money to be paid, and the date the payment will be made. The concurrence form for the payments to be made should then be signed by the Manager and CWU Representative and a copy retained of this and the final signed agreement. If the payments have not been made within 3 weeks this should be flagged up to the Divisional Representatives without delay so that they can make representation at Regional level. Any problems thereafter should be raised with the Outdoor Dept. Royal Mail did not object to this.
