Our office had revision and made up 8 full timers,2 permanent and 6 temporary.

Recieved contracts this week,The 6 temporary contracted lads had this added "Any Annual or sick leave will be paid as per the part time contracted hours"

So if any of them want to have a week off they get paid 30 hours or if off sick the same,How on earth can that be allowed? They need them to work 40 hours while in the office but earn a week off and they give them 30???????

I know of a few full timers who had dealings with the C.S.A,They were granted to go temporary part time by the manager for 6 weeks,So to show the C.S.A They were part time and never earned that much,Im pretty sure if they had a week off within the 6 they were temp part time they never got paid 40 hours.

Also the bonuses that are due will be paid pro rata to their part time contract.

Surely thats illegal? Isnt holiday supposed to be paid by your average hours not by your contracted hours anyway? Have they queried this issue with the union?

When the csa was on my case they made me send in the whole years wage slips and the ones I was missing I had to get duplicates. 6 weeks?? I don't think that would make the slightest bit of difference.

I am going back about 12 years with the CSA Happenings,At the time it was 6 weeks worth of payslips,I know for a fact 3 full timers dropped hours,One was my brother.

Dont come moral high ground about it,His ex took £100 per week off him for his lad,He paid every week without fail when he had him every saturday night,Her new bloke took to taking his hand to my nephew and my brother took his hand to her new bloke,I and i think most other fathers would do the same if in the same position.

The cow rang CSA and told them he never paid a penny towards the kid,Because he paid cash and had no receipts he could prove nothing,He got stung big time and had to take a part time job just to survive,Suffered with depression and changed him for years,He now has my nephew full time,His ex enjoyed the night life so much she was neglecting the little un and gave him up without a fight,Bitch.

I know of others who made the same mistakes paying towards kids,Keep a record should you be in the same boat.

Anyway,Lets just stick to the topic,Im fuming just thinking about what she put him through,Brought it all back

and his ex TOOK £100 a week, did she have the only bank card?

as for the temp FT'ers, same at ours, 1 lad arguing the toss for it, + the d2d payment or whatever they dress it up as stays pro rata, also doesn't it affect pensionable pay?
it a load of bollox, how can someone plan on any loan repayments long term under that situation,
even a 2 week holiday away leaves you about £150 down!

Mine was 15 years ago as well ghost so I'm not going moral high ground. And 100 quid really was the going rate plus I had arrears on top of that as well. Seems like the ghost and I know the same money grabbers. Back on topic.

So the bean counters have calculated that over the period of the temporary contracts if these people take the average number of days of sick by keeping their sick pay restricted to the 30 hours p/t contracts, rather than f/t 40 hour contracts, this will save all of two and sixpence three farthings.

Only problem is, we will have paid the bean counters a few hundred thousand more to establish these 'savings'.
