Have a condition that will require an operation, but that will be a few months yet. I have managed to cope with the ATOS requested workload (half delivery) for several months, however, this morning i was in considerable pain, far more than usual and said i doubt if i could do any delivery.

The reaction to this was to force me to go sick. I explained that its just a bad day and im sure i will be fine tomorrow, but i was told that anyone not doing at least 50% of their delivery should be told to go home. I again said i didnt want to go off sick and that i could do indoor duties for a day. They said this is now the policy in our region.

So we have a skint company that would sooner pay 8 hours OT for me being sick than 3.30 hours just to cover my delivery, wtf?

When I have very sore knee when I can't walk well on the day, I still have to call in sick instead of working in office. Royal Mail need to be more flexible on short term injuries.

royal mail and flexible do not go together unless there is a cock up and they need you to stay on for upto 1/2 an hour to bail them out.
