CHARITY EVEREST CLIMB

We have been approached by Tony Bouch, Branch Secretary Plymouth and East Cornwall Branch with a request to highlight the charity challenge that one of the branch members is undertaking.

Ed Buckingham is about to embark on a fund-raising challenge, in that he is aiming to climb the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest.

He is due to leave next week and expects for this challenge to take around 7 weeks to complete. His chosen charity for this event is the British Heart Foundation.

Ed, who has been a CWU member for 20 years, will be taking a CWU flag with him and when he reaches the top he intends to have his photo taken to show the CWU flag and Ed, conquering the world.
