•The choice to use a private car on delivery is the individual’s. However, once an employee chooses to use his/her car on delivery it is his/her responsibility to ensure that he/she obtains permission and complies with all of Royal Mail’s conditions for use of a private car on delivery in accordance with the Procedure.
Probably the most important clause in the whole document.

Probably the most pertinent sentence in LTB 263/11 - If these reports were put to the Police, heads would roll at a senior level and front line staff would face prosecution. Surely if all who use PCOD are fully compliant in all respects and managers are compliant with all procedures contained within the latest version of RM Private Cars on Delivery Version 5.0 what is there then to be fearful off.

but why the f### would you use your car for them anyway its not like you get any thing for it iit just mugs that use there cars the same ones that come in early to :roll:

in our office, they will not return you back to the office once you have finished your round, so on some walks it would be 2 busses at a cost of £3 and an hour and half of journeytime just to get back to your own car at the office. Its still job and finish so no one will waste an hour or 2 of their own time when they can just drive home, im not condoning it, its just common sense, local agreement i believe.
