Different collection times
On Monday all our collection duties are changing to Firms first and only one post box collection after that, not three as it was, with no real explanation. Is this happening anywhere else.

Been like that at our office a few years now. They blame it on poor postings. PO's and boxes still get their 3-a-daypilchard wrote:On Monday all our collection duties are changing to Firms first and only one post box collection after that, not three as it was, with no real explanation. Re: Different collection times
Only a very small percentage of the mail we collect comes from post boxes and yet they take up a very large proportion of our collections (i can't remeber the exact figures). Because of this the number of relief collections from post boxes is being cut. All our rural boxes are final collection only with only about a dozen of the heaviest boxes (out of about 120) getting relief collections now.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
