I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Fill us in on the problem Jack, flexability (working OT for nought) is a common prob. I have to get home for the school run and it may be a problem before long according to the rumours.

i just want to clarify something or if someone can please.
a guy at our place has just said to me he is having my job cos i start it half hour earlier than his and finish earlier.
his wife has just had baby and he needs to finish earlier to get home so as she can go to work on her arranged time.
i have 23 years under me he has six.
he has said to me the manager will be speaking to me about it next week.
what situation do i stand in please or can this be done under the family friendly agreement or is it just his wife that changes hours e.t.c. i think he is doing this just so he can get my job.
p.s i have kids to that need picking up . school hols aswell which i have adapted my home life and family life around.

No he can’t have your duty unless you agree to the change. Tell the manager, if he approaches you, that the person involved should be given a document to apply for family friendly and he should have his own duty adjusted if the Dim agrees.
