Cenus

What is the set up regarding delivering the Cenus to multiple Ocupancy Housing ie houses that are let out room by room .
Certain areas every house is let out into rooms with a real high turnover of Tennants,proably not all legal ?

know of plenty of houses with at least 6 bedsits some 8 ! per house

If you have to deliver a cenus for each house hold you will need a van ,likewise the landlords could not care less about their properties or the legal aspects
just as long as they have rent.

Can see being real headache,and the last cenus was not the amount of rented rooms or the high number of imigrants who tend to live in these rooms,wander if this has all been thought through?

I wouldn't worry about it. Just deliver what you're given

its one per houshold, so unless each of these rooms get a seperate council tax bill then you dont need to worry

on a side note the posties in scotland are going to have an easy time of it, of the 3 million or so households north of the border, royal mail is only going to deliver about 100k of them, collections will all come back through us but we didnt get the contract to deliver in scotland

Nope...they are recruiting there own people to hand deliver them.

yup its only the difficult and remote addresses we are getting, so some offices will be hammered but the ones in major towns/cities will prob get none

That just makes me SO bloody ANGRY!

I thought the whole thing about bringing in competition was that they COULDN"T just cherry-pick all the profitable parts and leave 'our beloved' RM with the all the loss making shite. I hope that the appropriate people are complaining in the strongest possible terms.

It's not really a case of undercutting us.The Scottish Government have decided to use interviewers to deliver the census

Census takers (enumerators) are responsible for the count of people and households in a designated area (known as their enumeration district). Most census takers deliver and collect the census questionnaires. They also follow up households that do not return a questionnaire, provide assistance to the public and reconcile questionnaires following the census. Census takers report to their team leader.

Pays not to bad either...

No, it's much more than £11 an hour, as anyone who has worked on the census will tell you that it can easily and properly be done in a lot less hours than they pay for.
