could someone clear a problem up for me my mate at work has been offered a medical severance lump sum is this taxable or not?????

i dont think it is, i know if you get EVR, they only tax you on amouts over 30 grand. ihr is only paid up to a maximum of 46 weeks, (depending on how much PILON you get.bwfcmaddog wrote:could someone clear a problem up for me my mate at work has been offered a medical severance lump sum is this taxable or not?????

No . The severence is not taxable or is NI. But you would pay tax/NI on any leave you were owed and the Colleague shares.
He/She should take advice off the Area Rep or HQ on any matters to do with IHR.
