Re Pick and MTSF

What are the rules for a re pick under mtsf? We are just about to go through one in our MC for Distribution and it seems to me we are getting bent over and shafted. we are mostly still in rotations with 7 1/2 tonne and transits in the rotation with mixed shifts. The management want to split the transits and 7 1/2tonne. Many people have permanant swaps in and out of shifts, we have 3 union reps all telling us diferent things about what allowences are pay protected and what arent, the lastest one we have heard is permenant swaps dont count and 600 substitution doesnt count if you dont get it all the time anyone shed any light on it for me im confused

I think leeds distribution are having similar problems.

Yeah we do get the same bending over and shafting as DO's. I thought Leeds had already done theirs, we have been told we are the only Mail Center still in rotations with mixed 600 and transits in them, More lies from Management??? anyway all is not looking good we have got people going to management fixing profesional driving duties so they can take them out of the Re Pick under the advice of the union can u belive that? a union rep saying to staff make deals with management if you can. Is there anyway of getting union reps out of there position or do we have to put up with them untill the next vote??

You could go for the nuclear option of having a vote of confidence if they are not willing to step aside. However, you will need somone willing to step in when they are gone, are you that person.

Surely a re-sign includes all duties fixed or otherwise? Also, shouldn't seniority be used rather than MTSF when the re-sign happens? Vacancies are filled on a seniority basis so why would this be any different?

To be honest yes i would step in if it happend i have no confidence in our reps they seem too close to the management and too willing to go along with what they want and tell us nothing. Apparently they are all done on MTSF now to save RM paying pay protection out to people who loose there duties in the re pick and seniority means nothing now. People are withdrawing there fixed duties from th re pick, this is why im asking on here about how these things are run because we are being told so many different things everyone is confused and worried. We have an AGM in late feb we will see what happens in that with regards to the reps.

from reading that it reads like all the people with permenant swaps will get the allowences they swap into counted, anybody read it any different??. i also read it that you need to be getting the allowences for a year which means leave reserves will get diddly squat, there were roumors that they would get a decent pick. i think ill have to talk to a rep
