just a question, once royal mail has been sold off,will the remaining private companies still have the facility of dsa at the existing advantage that they currently have?? me thinks not.

I think they probably will but not at such profitable rates.I haven't read about their views via their trade organisation yet.I still think there could be a potential franchise deal in the future whereby some of these leech companies run regions of Royal Mail.
They were all represented at the big postal conference before xmas along with the regulator and politicians so Im sure deals were done.The fact that these companies dont seem to be complaining suggests that they must be happy.Of course Im only speculating.I wonder what Hellmails take on it is.

i dont think we will get total privatise in royal mail may be a 60 40 split but i can not see any goverment selling the hole company .

The government have already made it clear that it will be privatised in full with 10% of shares being made available to the workforce. The thing they have not said is will it be a share issue so everyone can "buy in" or whether they will sell it as a going concern (less our 0%) to another company at so much a share.
