Driver assessment

Has anyone done an assessment and if so what is involved and can you fail? We've been told that all drivers must sit a computer test that will take a couple of hours?
Any info?

Judging by the standard of our DOs drivers iam sure i cant be that difficult! Iam surprised most of them managed to pass their driving tests! lol

i took the test a year ago it about an hour drive in a crew bus and some safety checks that you have to do. dont think you can fail it may be if you crashed or some thing but dont know any one who has fail it. the computer test is just a theroy test and you can not fail it you just have to keep doing it till you pass hope that helps

One guy in our office failed the diring assessment four times in a row, so yes you can fail. You have to be a really really bad driver though.

It's just the computer test we're doing, no mention of actually driving!
Any idea why we're doing it?

Every driver has to do the computer thingy,boring as f**k it is.

Although did you know that more crashes are caused by people eating while driving than using a mobile phone.
So it taught me one thing.

If you can drive without running someone over you'll pass the practical. The theory is unfailable (is that even a word ) as you just keep going back until you answer correctly. It takes less than an hour btw as long as you can read.

driving assessment...AA guys takes u round the district for abt 30 - 40 min....other 20 - 30 min u sit about talking abt footy & life. As long as u dont speed excessively or kill someone (once u hit them) u'll pass.

I did the driving assessment about 6 months ago. No maneouvres as in a driving test just a quick spin with an AA assessor. As for the computer bit, that's news to me.

The computer thing is easy but boring.
Some questions are multiple choice some aren't.

It's down on paper as taking 2 hrs.

Just stick to 30mph and you'll pass.
41mph to prove that you can do an unreasonable number of collections in your hours just isn't a good idea.
