Morning all
Im off sick at the moment and if i don't get back til Monday ill have hit the magic 14 days over a year, therefore getting a stage one. This is due to three absences, one of which in late November was due to an accident at work (slipped in the snow) When i had my return to work for this absence i was over 14 days (one absence from december last year was included but is now not valid) the manager doing my RTW said i may well get a stage which my union rep said is bollocks due to one absence being an accident at work. He was right and no stage interview came about. If i dont make it back til Monday can they issue me with a stage for this absence seeing as the accident at work is still valid?

Depends on the dates,but your AOD should again be discounted if it is in the time frame and part of your stage warning.

Bloody hell word gets about. Indeed he did mate, slipped in the snow as well. How did you here about that?

If Nov was the AOD then yes it should be discounted,your rep will have to argue hard as even though we know it should be discounted again the screw won't be happy about it.

I dont actually work in that DO but in another one in the area, i know a lot of the boys at Gill though. Gills is my football team. To be fair we didnt have to argue the case after the last return to work, they didnt even bring it up. We were ready for a row though.

someone got issued a stage even though the last absence was a accident at work so your not safe dont be led into a false sense of security.

Cheers mate. I think they dish them depending on what mood they're in. Didnt get one last time so ill fight it if i do. Then again if i get one so be it. Pretty much past caring now tbh.
