As Fishtank stands on the brink of making his 5000th post and with it automatic entry into the RMC Hall of Fame, I think we should just take the time to thank him for his time and effort.
His posts are sometimes lighthearted (consensual cakes ?), sometimes witty (who could forget the "don't fall off your high horse" jibe) but always interesting and informative. Without his ability to show us the bigger picture, life at the sharp end of RM would be a lot harder.
And he has always been willing to share his wisdom and experience.
So Mr. Fishtank - thank you and well done.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. Yep Fishtank is straight as an arrow- tells you how it is and not how you want to hear it. He is proud of the CWU but not blind to its faults, but neither he is critical for the sake of being so. I personally would be proud to have him in my corner or on the line anytime.
Congrats Fishtank all the praise your getting is probably embarrassing but ultimately well deserved.

My dom/lino hate me as I am always coming back with something i have found out on here, but my collegues that I chat to like what i have to report back
