Redirection Service

The other halfs dads brother died last week,and he lived about 80 miles away.Can i get the dead brothers mail redirected for free to my missus dads house,as he is dealing with all the paperwork,post etc?How would he sort this out,could he just arrange it from a local PO?Or could i sort it out at work?(i work in a MC btw)Any help with be very welcome!

sorry for your loss pal i dont know about that though , i know that as rm employees we ourselves get free redirection services but does it apply to family aswell? i dont think so to be honest would somebpdy like to put me right ? im surprised we are getting it to be honest seeing how tight they are !!!!

I don't think you'd be able to get it for free as the free redirection service that RM provide you is for YOU when YOU move etc as YOU'RE the employee.

I really doubt they'll agree to your OH's uncle's mail being redirected for free. You'd also have to get some sort of thing in writing (can't remember the name of it) that says it's OK for you to do it too.
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?

Yes I done a similar thing but it was 8 years ago and I had a proper manager then who read the form then authorised it. Might be different nowadays.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
