£1000 lump sum using delivery methods.

Our delivery methods revision is being deployed in the middle of november.In the 2010 agreement the lump sum payments are there for the 1st sequenced and non sequenced revisions.My question is how are the payments staged when you have one delivery methods revision.

Transformation Lump Sum Payments and Shorter Working Week
Delivery
Applicable to all Delivery Units including SPDO’s.
Lump Sums
The payment of £1,000 (pro rata for part time employees) consisting of 3 lump sums will be paid as follows.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of their first non walk sequencing revision.
£600 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of the walk sequencing revision.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit when the Walk Sequencing revision has been implemented, and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 6 week bedding in period.
SPDOs
All SPDOs will receive the £600 and £200 payments in line with their parent delivery unit.
Shorter Working Week
To be implemented in all Delivery Units in line with the Walk Sequencing revision.

Thanks for the info Postman, I know you've posted it several times on different threads, can you see a situation when a DO would only receive £800 bonus?

The reason I ask is our DIM mentioned in WTL that there was only £800 on the table, even if we did everything he asked

We told him to "move away in short jerky movements!", we should be getting £1000. He said he'd have to check it out with his Boss! I expect he thought he'd put the rest in his back pocket.

Remember you do not get paid the whole £1000 for just one revison even if you have walk sequencing. The agreements talks about a journey over the three year term of the agreement.

If you are having walk seqeuencing next year then you will possibly be having either a delivery methods revision , a geo route revison or a self starter revison which is basically an IWT revison or a combination of two or all of these. This will mean you get your £200.

If you are having a walk sequencing revison which can combine delivery methods and geo route then your will recieve £600 on deployment of the revision and a further £200 no later than 6 weeks after the revison.

If you are having a walk sequencing revison first off then next year you will have a further revison which will either be delivery methods , geo route or a self starter ( iwt only. ) This will mean you recieve your £200.

TBH I thought I knew the agreement quite well but that just confused me.

The simple question that needs to be answered I suppose is will all units get the full £1000 (pro rata) over the next 3 years. If not why not.

I think the answer is possibly But if you go directly to a WS revision then you only get the £800 for that revision. You have to wait until your office gets ANOTHER revision to get the other £200, what is actually classed a revision is probably open to debate as well. For instance do next years savings count as a revision? Probably not in RM's eyes.

Basically we've been had over again because I doubt very much that every office will get the £1000 now. The agreement should have said, in nailed down terms, that offices that skipped a non-sequenced revision and went straight to a sequenced one get the full £1000.

I think that's what the majority of us on here thought was supposed to happen, but when I realised there was nothing in the agreement that actually said that it was bend over time

I think you're right flyer...you've more chance of Wayne Rooney seeing out his new contract than ever seeing the last £200.
Why would any office going through a fully integrated Walk sequenced/delivery methods revision in year 2 want to go through yet another full revision just a year later?
And you can bet it would have to be a full revision to meet Royal Mails criteria.
It's madness...offices need stability...members need stability...not feckin journeys ffs.

You will have at least two revisons over the life time of the agreement.

The Walk sequencing revison will get you £600 on deployment and £ 200 by no later than 6 weeks after deployment.

The other £200 will be a non walk sequencing revison.

So everyone will get the £1000 .
