I AM A REP IN THE LONDON AREA AND WAS ON THE PICKET LINE THIS MORNING STOPPED A ROYAL MAIL TRUCK AND ASKED THE DRIVER NOT TO CROSS THE PICKET LINE WHEN FROM NO WHERE THE DIM ARRIVED TOLD THE DRIVER TO CROSS OR HE WOULD HAVE HIS MONEY STOPPED I HAD A SHORT CONVERSATION WITH THE DIM IN RELATION TO THE DRIVER CROSSING THE LINE TO WHICH THE DIM DEPARTED HE THEN BEGAN TALKING INTO HIS MOBILE PHONE SAYING DID YOU GET ALL THAT HE HAD OBVIOUSLY HAD THE DSM OR OTHER DIM ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE EITHER JUST LISTENING OR TAPING THE CALL
WATCH OUT CHAPS THESE TWATS WILL TRY ANYTHING
ANY ONE ELSE HAD A SIMILAR EXPERIENCE OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS

When a screw comes up to you.... WHIP OUT THE OLD MOBILE/DICTAPHONE and let him have it right up the gearbox!!!

They dont like it up em!!!!!

yes he's right they have a legal obligation to tell you that your conversation is being monitored
as it is he's out of order and should be reported

grevience all ready typed out for monday

made sure every one else on picket line heard conversation got plenty of pictures twats even left secure locker open so public could walk straight in got pictures of that too

I havn't had a conversation taped (to my knowledge) but we have been told that if we do not cross the picket lines we will have our pay stopped and other action may be taken. This is if our strike day falls on a different day to that of those who are on strike at the time.

Taping conversations is ilegal,unless thay have asked for your consent to tape,as is taking photos either by mobile phone or by camera,a good friend of mine who used to be a postie,now a policeman,has confirmed that to me.

I'm quite sure it is legal to tape conversations without consent but you can't play it to anybody else, however you can produce a transcript 'from memory'.

or something like that ... you won't be arrested for walking down the street with a concealed tape recorder in your pocket.

wrong again it's illegal if your taped without your consent thats why when you ring these companys they tell your that your call is being monitored wether or not they do it is another thing but it covers them if they do

The recording and monitoring of telephone calls is governed by a number of different pieces of UK legislation, according to Ofcom, the telephone industry regulator.

It is not illegal for individuals to tape conversations providing the recording is for their own use, under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA).

It is a civil, not criminal, matter if a conversation or e-mail has been recorded and shared unlawfully.

If a person intends to make the conversation available to a third party, they must first obtain the consent of the person being recorded.
