Re: Did Taurus88 get the chop
Looks like I might be safe . . . this time. I'm surprised because I was fore warned that the brown stuff was going to hit the fan. It was one of those things that may have righted itself and the threat may simply have dissipated. Oh well, it's a shame 'cause I was kind of looking forward to it (the madness, that is, less so the sacking part). I was thinking about it today actually. Seven and half hours work, or six hours watching Sachin Tendulkar score 191 against the Aussies. Oh, to be a layabout.

I watch 10 minutes of JK every morning during my meal relief.DGP1 wrote:

I watch it with a mixture of astonishment and awe.
Why would you ask someone who clearly has a substance abuse problem - DID YOU DABBLE IN HEROIN? (Of course they did)
And why would you want the whole world to see the results of your exes paternity test, to see if you, your best mate or some bloke she had a bunk up with behind a bus shelter is the father of the child? (A child destined to be in care before it starts primary school)
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

I get to see (and hear) bits of Jeremy Kyle every day when people come to the door to collect their parcels. Why do people watch this rubbish?DGP1 wrote:Yes, watching cricket may be fun but how long before you start on Jeremy Kyle..........that way madness liestaurus88 wrote:Looks like I might be safe . . . this time. It's like a car crash, you know you shouldn't stare but you just have to, personally I like watching Dominic Littlewood - he makes me laughtaurus88 wrote:I get to see (and hear) bits of Jeremy Kyle every day when people come to the door to collect their parcels. Re: Did Taurus88 get the chop
Back when working for Royal Mail was fun we used to have our break after deliveries about 10:00 ish ,everyone would be upstairs before inward sorting and cutting and tipping, some would play chess, some would play darts but inevitably Trisha bloody Goddard would be on the box.
Logie Baird must be spinning in his grave, what a load of utter utter balls, utter dregs of society washing their dirty laundry in public.
There would be some wimpy excuse for a man snarling behind said Goddard whilst his elephantine other half would alternate between the water works or hippopotamus type rage .
At which point ,before my brain tried to crawl out of my ear ,I would beat a hasty retreat and go back to work.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
