the bonus and contracts
so our revision is happening soon. i am a temp 40 hour person for almost 1 year now. 3 years before as 20 hour perm. i was just wondering about the likely possibility of been shifted back down to 20 hours after the revision, during or maybe before. i know bonus's are payed pro rota which sucks. before the new aggreement went through and we all voted, i was 40 hrs, and i will of been 40 hours at least until the revision has started (maybe after). if they put me back down to 20, would i still be entitled to the full bonus as i was full time during the revision and all the changes etc? like when you accumulate holidays etc.

Probably goes by the time the bonus is payed ie if you are 40 hours you get 40hrs worth, if you get moved down and the bonus is payed, then probably 20hrs.

cheers pat you confirmed what i thought. do you think if they did this then i would have a chance of getting this from a legal point of view. its not so much the money, but i just think royal mail should pay bonus, ot, everything etc where its due. its the principle.

I think you would have a case for the last three months from the moment the bonus was paid.
(Look at what your average hours were for the last three months, before the bonus is due). Still, I cannot confirm this but I do believe its what ACAS recommend.

Bonuses are paid on contracted hrs not hrs worked.
