Don't you just love Postman you have worked with that are made up to Managers ?

Aren't they always the most lazy, "doorstepping" creatures you have ever met. Or am I just bitter and twisted.

Well personally I think they are well meaning individuals who only have the best interests of their colleagues at heart and not self interested lazy bastards

most of ours act like Hitler when acting and go sick if put back to uniform

The best bit is when they're out acting, you know a mixture of both, still a postie but not made up to a manager,
we've got a couple like that who've been propping up the coffee machine for the last few years and now with all the cuts their back as Posties again, like the saying goes "paybacks a bitch"

Little bit sad when they go back as a postman. In a mail centre they choose somewhere very out of the way so no one can see them. Often this is when they return from going sick, usually putting down the cause as stress. They work all day without hardly speaking to anyone, its as like they almost become invisible. The substantive manager who they spent hours talking to, now completely ignores them because there is no gain networking with them. Doing physical work after so long just watching others, is too much of a shock to the system. They forget how to pace themselves or to avoid getting wound up by repetitive work or a machine that won't go. In an exhausted sweaty mess they usually stand out as the most untidy person, because they refuse to lower themselves by wearing Royal Mail uniform opting for some old clothes instead.
