Part timer with unprepped frame

I have heard a lot of pt'ers on here saying they are arriving to unprepped frames. Who should we be approaching about this in the first instance? Should I bring it to the attention of the rep if it has repeatedly happened. I know the majority of answers will be cut off but I would like to know the channels you would realistically take to resolve this. Maybe then we could get a ruling across the board on what measures you would take if your frame isn't prepped.

Unprepped frames for a waysider or partimer is a failing of management so you should go to them first with Union Rep if possible. Although you should advise the rep why you want to talk to management.

Well as of Monday any unprepped mail, which in theory includes door to door, is to be left behind (having informed section lino) by part-timers. All 22.5 hour rounds are now expected to be "double-prepped" so that we can arrive at 0930 (having been able to do prep overtime starting at 0800 for the whole summer since the re-sign) and start bundling up. The idea behind the move is that the early finishers from other sections are now going to minimise the budget overspend for the depot, which makes a lot of sense when looking at the bigger picture...

The fact it means that we are going to be doing less hours and therefore get less wages is not so good.

does your statement ..as from (monday ny unprepped mail, which in theory includes door to door, is to be left behind )... cover all depots or just yours ..im 24 hours and never know what im going to come into ..piles of mail .. very rarely are my d2ds done ..lucky if pkts are

McLovin's probably been chucking it out.

I came in this morning to three big bundles that hadn't been chucked out. Took me a good twenty minutes to get them done, that's before the missorts, packets and redirections.

Maybe p/ters coming in early is a symptom of lazy f/ters, rather than an excuse that the f/ters can use?

What is "double prep" So you are on a 22.5 hour contract, do you mind explaining how your hours are broken down, tying up, travel to first point and actual delivery time.

I,m 25 hours and can be walking in to a different walk every day frame is now prepped but it took me having to say i,m dropping a bag to get it that way plus they want lapsing done on any walk i go on.

How exactly do your hours break down if you don't mind me asking.

If I might add, mine breaks down as
half hour tying up
15 mins to first delivery point
half hour break
3 and a half hour walk
15 mins pouching off back to DO

5 hours all accounted for

They have got me lapsing every and doing walk for 5 hours are you lot lapsing my mail as all been in frame just redirects to do.

What about your break? you have to have travelling time to and from your walk. Have the new revisions been instigated at your place. Management try to get PT'ers to lapse but 5 offices surrounding ours don't lapse at all.

If you don't want to go half hour over bring what you have back. You know that you regularly go that amount over, being changed frame to frame, why work for nothing

To be honest i have never experienced a problem with my frame being prepped. (but I was told union rep was first port of call)

When I come in all I have to do is packets and redirects

Already told you no-one leaves til every LETTER is prepped in, we're normally bang on.

I commented on this a while back. Do PT'ers have a breakdown of hours for their duties. Breaks are 20 mins up to 4 hrs 59 mins and 30 mins for between 5 and 7 hours.
