a collegue of mine has been on the same 40 hour shift pattern for 6 months+
his contract is actually for 20 hours per week and only receives half the delivery supplement
In two weeks time he has two weeks annual leave and is expecting to be paid only 20 hours
his worry is that if he asks about full holiday pay he will lose his current shift pattern and revert to struggling on 20 hours every week.
What should he do?

Re: advice regarding holiday pay
Technically if hes been doing that duty pattern for 6 months or more his contract should be made up.(R/M will not do this tho)
He will only receive 20 hours holiday pay when hes on A/L as that's what his contract states.

Re: advice regarding holiday pay
Hants what is not correct.
The reason i posted what i did is we had two P/T contracts doing F/T driving duties.
They wanted to be made up to F/T instead of claiming 15 hrs O/T a week.
Any hows contacted my area rep who asked how long they had been doing the above duty for .
It was him that informed me of the time scale and period of time a person doing a duty should be made up to F/T IF claiming docket continuously.
But then again area reps can be wrong aswell apologies if ive given out mis-leading advice.

Arrrr riteo buddy who ever thought R/M would be such a difficult place to work.
I doubt there's many Big companies like R/M that have so many folk on so many different contracts doing this that and the other.

Is this fact? What agreement,or any link? I've seen the Acas guide to holiday entitlement and I know POL do average hours, and the CWU have been promising for years, but when a part timer,in my office, asked HR recently he was told differently.hantsman wrote:This is not correct, its his average hours over 12 weeks, contact HRMoNkEyBoY wrote:Technically if hes been doing that duty pattern for 6 months or more his contract should be made up.(R/M will not do this tho)
He will only receive 20 hours holiday pay when hes on A/L as that's what his contract states.
Mind you,it did take us months to get the ratification lump sum paid on average hours and not contracted hours!
