FTAO: Anyone who works at, or knows someone at, BEXLEYHEATH

Hi,

This is going to be one of the strangest requests ever, but I'm going to try.

I go on holiday on Wednesday, I went to the Royal Mail Sorting Office in Bexleyheath this morning to collect a parcel... I've left my passport in there and its not open till Monday am... Trouble is, I'm only 99.9999999% certain I've left it there, not 100%.

I'm desperately trying to find an emergency number for Royal Mail or a number for a key holder.

Does anyone know of an emergency number, does any Royal Mail employee reading this know of anyway to contact anyone in the Bexleyheath Royal Mail employees that can somehow contact someone to find out who the keyholder is?

I know I can get there at 8am tomorrow am, but for peace of mind, I'm really trying to get this resolved sooner.

TBH, I really don't think you'll be allowed in there until the staff arrive tomorrow.

You may be able to turn up earlier if you phone first thing and speak with someone to arrange it.

They don't open offices on closed days what with the alarms having to be unset, it sparks a panicked call from the engineers and even then they'd find it suspicious that someone was opening the office up on a non working day. That's even IF anyone was willing to go to the office on their day off and open it for you.

Yes I am afraid I agree with April. Even if it was my own passport and I flew out today to open the office on a non service day would trigger a panic call to the engineers who would be duty bound to turn up thinking there was a fault. At worse it could bring a Police response team flying down so its going to be a no go.

Maybe someone on here could provide you with a direct office number which you will be able to call from 6am tomorrow to put your mind at rest. Failing that you can always turn up at the delivery office at 6am and stand by the entrance to the yard area (not the enquiry counter) and catch a Postie going in. Ask him if you can possibly see a Manager and explain from there.

I must admit, I've already tried both the Police and Fire Stations to see if they had emergency contact numbers or something.

I'll just have to get myself down there for 6am tomorrow morning and keep my fingers crossed.
