lies from royal mail on my refrence

hi everyone not been on for a while. those who read my previous threads will know my story. as of now im still waiting for a decision on my appeal and have been waiting 2 months. ive got my ET claim going through at the moment and im actively looking for work in the meantime.
i had an interview for a well known gas company and they required refrences so i gave them royal mail's hr address. i told them why i had been dismissed which was alleged gross misconduct and told them about the appeal. they came back to me after a week saying that royal mail had told them i was sacked for my sickness record!! now i believe that is very naughty. does anyone agree??

Cant offer any advice re the lies... but i have heard that you stand a better chance of winning any tribunal if you can say that you haven't found any work since being dismissed.

That would be incorrect information.

A tribunal does not care if you have found employment or not all its there to do is decide if the dismissal was fair on the evidence placed before them. I don''t think they can even take into account if your have found other employment when deciding if they should recommend reinstatement.

Does not compute for me, your less guilty if you have not found work.
