All or nothing! That’s what we were told we had to vote for. I can handle the fact we voted for all, yet I’m rather confused how this doesn’t apply to RM.

The agreement was structured around new methods of working. Vans to get the weight of our backs, a ban on private vehicles on delivery, new work tools to measure the work load. I’m yet to see anything we voted for (yes I know you all voted no).

As usual the union seems unconcerned (I’m referring to them up the top, not the poor union reps on the shop floor). The D2D’s have been implemented yet no revision to the walks has taken place. We still do the same IPS throw off the same walks and even absorb. Where has this magic time we are being given to do the extra work gone? Has H&S decided its ok for us to take all the weight we carried before plus what ever extra RM say we have to squeeze into our pouches?

RM must be laughing at us right now. Picking what ever part of the agreement suits them. Nothing should be implemented till the ground work has been done. Work load revisions should be top priority.

We were told there was no plan B and Royal Mail were in serious trouble and a yes vote was the only option. But there year ending financial figures don't tell us that. WE HAVE BEEN TOTALLY STITCH UP BY THE CWU.

D2D is now just mailsort really except you've got to get them done by end of week, CDV is subject to walks being appropriate for their use and absorbing/lapsing is saying your own walk is not three and a half hours , using own vehicles is not RM fault but the fault of the postal worker , measuring workload is done by MC and random checks on coded trays seem to match traffic data. If you press for a revision i guarantee you will not like the outcome, negotiate locally and do a quick deal as indoor work tools to measure workload and utilising spare capacity will not be in your favour.

Not so at our office.

Managers made people absorb everyday and take out 1/5th of d2ds.

All the absorbed walks came back each day so now theres 3 duties with a full workload from sat, mon, and tues waiting to go out.

No one wants overtime to clear it as they dont want to do 3 days work for 2.15 hours OT.

We'll be asked to take it again tomorrow and the same thing will happen. Then friday etc etc...

Its just building up and building up and the managers dont know how to clear it.

At last! Some people are starting to use their heads down here.

:Very Take it from all us oldies on here---this agreement will never be implemented in the 'agreed' fashion.all that will happen 18 months down the line a further revision will take place to replace this one, based on further job cuts,more work, less pay, and they'll dangle a £ 200.00 quid carrot in front of folks to accept, and on it will go! Never believe anything R/M tell you, as soon as you vote yes, they have, and always will renage---

Sadly ive seen many of the agreed forward way of working agreements introduced and almost every time the original plans are down graded due to lack of (supposed) available funding. So you end up with the extra workload but not the promised tools for you to actually do the job.
So what happens people come in even earlier and others begin using there cars to get around that little bit quicker and the cycle starts all over again.

The difference this time is that by then, the germans, french or the Dutch will be running things.
