Just so CWU postal sections realise its not just us that are getting done over by HQ heres a snip from a facebook group called Fight back! A group set up for BT CWU workers.
Last year your union Executive agreed to cuts to BT pension benefits and to increased contributions – CWU members paying more and getting less!
This year the Executive agreed to draconian changes to attendance patterns in Openreach, forcing staff to work Saturdays, later into the evening, overtime and away from home – all detrimental to work-life balance.
There are, however, some Executive members who are in touch with the membership, rather than management’s flexibility agenda, who voted against these detrimental changes.
The future will present more tough challenges for the union, as employers step-up their flexibility agenda and move to introduce further detrimental changes to our members terms and conditions. It is important you vote for all the candidates listed – they all opposed the Openreach attendance changes and are the only ones committed to looking after your best interests at work in the year ahead.

Standing up for union members in tough times
Congratulations to the following Broad Left supporters:
Maria EXALL and Steve JONES, who have already been elected to the National Executive Council unopposed.
All the CWU members mentioned are supporters of the Communication Workers Broad Left and want to lead a union that:
• organises its members to put their needs before employers profits
• supports public ownership of telecoms, instead of private profits
• opposes anti union laws, globalisation, off-shoring, performance management, bullying and harassment, etc. that are detrimental to union members’ interests
• stands for equality and internationalism.
Join the Broad Left for a fighting democratic union

The point is we are not alone we just need to organise and take back our Union and we need to work together (A strange thing for a "Trade Union" if you get it?) for our common good and not theirs.
