Number of questions on non RML ballot papers

I haven't received my ballot paper yet.

Can anyone in POL or any other part of RM that is not letters tell me how many questions are on their ballot paper?

What part of Royal Mail Group do you work in?

Royal Mail letters members have 2 questions on their ballot paper:
1) accept / reject the 2010 & Beyond deal
2) accept / reject the MtSF2 agreement

Every other member gets a single question, i.e. to accept / reject the MtSF2 agreement.

This is because the MtSF agreement will apply to everybody in all the Royal Mail Group of companies, and everyone therefore has to have a say on it.

So non RML members will not get to vote on parts of the proposal that don't affect them.

If this is the principle, then no members should be allowed to vote on changes that don't affect them.

Why are non delivery functions voting on the delivery issues and vice versa?

1. Because we are all employed by Royal Mail Letters. This agreement covers everyone in Royal Mail Letters.

2. Because MC and RDC members, when their offices get closed, may end up transferring into Delivery units (if VR is not offered or accepted), so the delivery issues will probably be of direct concern to them in the future.

3. Because once you start fragmenting negotiations, where do you stop? A separate agreement for MCs, a separate agreement for RDCs, and a separate agreement for deliveries ?

Then you'd get MC members whose MC is cited for closure arguing "why are people in such-and-such MC getting a vote on my MC closing, when it doesn't affect them"? So what would be the next step after that, separate agreements for each and every building in each and every RML business unit ? You would end up with people in different offices on a multitude of different pay rates, terms and conditions etc Getting a national strike going under those conditions would be nigh-on impossible, with people saying 'why should we strike in support of an office up the road that's already on better pay than us ?'

An already-weak CWU would be totally toothless under that sort of fragmentation
