The Debates have already been "hotting" up on this Forum during this Bank-Holiday and
With the Promise of more "comms" coming down from HQ and the DOMs at WTLL it is going
to be a very interisting few days until the 09/04/10... hold onto your hats people its going to
be a bumpy ride

I wouldn't fret and don't see it being a bumpy ride. There will be more YES papers than NO. Lets be real about it, the YES voters won't be hanging around RMC anyway so content here is not representative of the majority. Cast your minds back to 2007 when RMC members were shocked to the core that the majority voted in favour of the modernisation agreement.

Why not stop the deduction from pay and give £3 each week to your office reps instead. Hence, rewarding those on the front line who work the hardest for members and depriving those at HQ who deserve little. Cheeky, but why not?

The difference between 2010 and 2007 is that a lot of Members had their fingers burnt in 2007
This time round I dont think we will be so stupid(fool me once & all that)
Also in 2007 the members on this Forum were fewer in numbers now in 2010 the numbers are greater
with a better understanding (check out the number of threads in 2010)... people are Questioning
every-thing this time round, and they want the answers not the SPIN and rhetoric which has happened
previously

I don't think in 2007 anyone was asked to take a pay CUT,selfish or not this will make a real difference to the vote.
It will have more effect than all the posturing by either side on this forum.
After all don't you always accuse some members of not looking beyond their own nose.

Yes I keep seeing remember 2007! But there is a greater awareness of the duplicity of that agreement - I don't know if you work in a delivery office NT but if you don't you would be amazed at the depth of feeling on the issues in this agreement and the practically 100% NO vote despite what branch might say.

By roughly 2 and a half times Glenno - what needs to happen is that unit reps need to make sure they DO vote - they are notoriously poor at voting BUT I feel sure that this has piqued their interest somewhat.

50% closure plan for mail centres. i really feel sorry for all you dly types who will be expected to work your hours and have job security. think of the bigger picture

The Mail-centre review dosnt start until later in my area but there are things in this Agreement
that will safe-guard Mail-centre Staff.. the EVR status is to run until 2013, also the protection of
allowances paid for 3 years if you decide to transfer to another unit these are just a couple off the
top of my head
This was always going to happen it was going to happen even before this Agreement

Take a look at the managers brief the closures have already been ratified by the CWU so if you want a rethink vote NO.
