walk job share

is anyone doing a walk job share in there office 3 days on 3 days off with another postie in other words splitting the delivery look forward to your comments if you are cheers lads

two blokes in my office do it and it seems to work well for them.

Yes, we've got 2 lads who job share the same duty, 3 days on, 3 days off.18 hours per week. They seem to like it and so does the DOM, could this be the future?

How do they decide who works what day?
Does one always work Mon,Tues,Weds and the other Thurs,Fri,Sat?
Or do they mix it about so they share the Saturday off?
It probably is a part of the future because you don't need a floater.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Works really well, set up in previous office i worked, agreement was 1 ft 40 hr round split between 2 persons
20 hours each, have floating 3 days i.e M-W off this week, T-S following week, then M-W again.
Only stipulation to agreement is covering each others S/T sick leave & A/L, however other advantage sort day off swap
between yourselves, virtually get what A/L you want etc, gives both parties alot of flexibility.

Yes we've a few, some do 3 days on and 3 days off, others do a week about, we have the same in the locker, their contrats are for 24 hours, and most of them got lucky and had buy downs to get the less hours.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
