Overtime Rate

Royal Mail seems to want us all to have a basic fixed number of hours and then if it's busy we are expected to do the overtime to finish it.

Royal Mail is also the only employer I know of that pays less for it's overtime rate!

Anyway, does anyone know what the rates are?

1) Basic pay rate
2) Overtime Rate upto 40 hours
3) Overtime Rate from 40 hours to 48 hours
4) Overtime Rate after 48 hours
5) S/A rate

Also, what should the pension contribution be from Royal Mail, is it 11% ?

Basic pay rate is £347 for yr 40 hours then any allowance your shift carrys on top of that then i think overtime rate is £9.19 for your 1st ten hours then anything over that drops down LMAO not sure what it drops too theres only a matter of pence between S/A and Pressure overtime but i know if your former PHG grade you get the highest lvl of S/A rate all the time.I dont suppose that helps lol sorry.P.S. I think royal mails contribution to the pension is supposed to be exactly the same as what you yourself pays in but is actually 0% in reality lol

I know people who come in on overtime when on annual leave - union rep thinks this is OK.

Sod the others who might need the overtime
