letters in a box

Had a bit of time on my hands due to christmas pressure so thought i would count how many kill off letters (christmas cards) i could put end to end into a purstop (blue or grey box). I counted 250 and the box was 3/4 full, therefore i would guestimate that 300 letters can be put into one of these boxes easy and 250 letters if they were the thickness of say a council tax annual bill statement, tescos info gumf, credit card company statement with all the extras they put inside....you all get the drift...

counted 314 in one mech tray this morning the other 3 not so full but no way do they average 150

278 i think that is/was the magic (agreed) average number. The word 'shafted' will suffice.

Mech letters are 'counted' by the computer at the MC that sorts them. The ACF currently 158 i think is the average no. of manual letters in a box. When you get get a tray full of RD books you gain when you get a tray of very thin tesco stuff you lose. That is why it is an average. Just remember 'Traffic is down'

158 is less than 357 in the normal world
