i ve heard that the plans are for 4.30 deliveries 2 sharing vans times moving to 7am - 3pm for towns and 8am-4 pm rurals d2d payments prob stopped and added so all of which i was striking against was it not so now its ok somehow if its ok now why was nt it ok in may when we started striking

Yes excellent point. We've lost more hours in our office since the strikes and things are just as bad? Dont worry though there will be lots of strikes in 2010 .
RM now (As well as lick postcomms ba*ls) have to pay VAT due to a brand new European ruling (I think TNT were backhanding some of um ) So thats another 100 houses you will have to 'absorb' on your walk to pay for it in the new year.

in london we striked to try and put an end to the EA that was going on. as far as i know it worked, once we started striking they couldn't continue with the EA. i think now we're starting to get back the 4 day week's and some offices are going to have revisions after xmas. i can't say i ageed to ending the strike's when we did but it's done now. all any of us can do now is sit tight and hope those at the top can deliver.

You know dvb, I was prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt but they seem to have done little or nothing beyond keeping themselves in a job for a while longer.

The strikes were never going to stop those things.Anyone who thought differently was deluded.Or perhaps they have got their clogs ready for when the machines are rolled out.
The strikes meant RM were obliged to consult with the CWU, something they did not want to do.A de-unionised RM will be a lot easier to privatise.Perhaps that is something everyone should consider before leaving the CWU.

we were 1 of those office s with ea but the point i am making is that we could have had these 4 30 walks 2 sharing vans etc in may but our union told us to reject that offer if we had accepted it then maybe the union and rm could have had this sorted out instead we ve lost out on pay and the same stuff is comming anyway the union will tell us they got a better deal for us but who knows as for privitisation its comming aswell so dont let the union kid us that we can stop it as once this has changed that l be back on the agenda and we ll all be out on strike again for nothing

Im one confused postie,why did we strike?what was the point of it all,nothing has changed in truth it gets worse day by day,pressurised by managment ignorned by the union....i really think all of us posties are deep in the brown stuff and no one gives a toss.....from the top we have parasite bosses all lining their own pockets with the union leadership pisssing in the same pot...were on our own now and well fkd in my humble opinion.

At times such as these you have to have faith in the leadership.My personal view is come January things will look a lot brighter. Some sections will gain more. In my section we will gain little but I am prepared to show solidarity with the guys in delivery. Unity is strength. Keep the faith for a few more weeks.
