CAN ANYONE ADVISE. MY DELIVERY OFFICE WAS RAILROADED INTO TRIALLING THE PEGASUS SYSTEM BACK IN MARCH AND WHAT A SHAMBLES IT TURNED OUT TO BE. SO ARE THE BIG OFFICES REFUSING TO ACCEPT THE NEW SYSTEM AND THATS WHY WE ARE ON STRIKE? IF THATS THE CASE WHERE WERE THE UNION WHEN WE DIDNT WANT TO TRY IT IN A SMALLER OFFICE? AND IF ITS AMENDED WILL IT BE A NATIONAL AMENDMENT OR ARE WE STUCK WITH IT REGARDLESS??????????????

Easier said than done. some of the guys are just doin their own thing and goin on their own. dont think management care so long as mails getting delivered. its getting to be that its every man for themselves - the morale is so low and we have felt that the union let us down and let it be introduced into our office but now the bigger offices are rebelling they are fighting for them. never mind it will be back to picket line duty of me on Saturday.............

I'm in Norwich LDO where we cover from NR1 through to NR7.

NR1 and NR6 have been working the Pegasus for the last 6 weeks. Or at least trying to. The other areas in our office as yet have not been put over to Pegasus and will not untill after Christmas

Dear Colleague,

Royal Mail - Bullying and Harassment of Postal Workers

In the last 24 hours branches would have seen the wide ranging media coverage of stories relating to the unfair treatment and pressure being placed upon CWU members. This relates to our members being asked to achieve totally unrealistic targets and performance levels whilst on delivery, through the imposition of an unagreed revision tool (Pegasus/Georoute).

The Union highlighted Royal Mail's general behaviour in a letter to members a few weeks ago and this is further confirmation that Royal Mail's current approach to our members is unacceptable.

As previously reported we will be holding a joint meeting next week of the PEC and our Divisional Representatives and this issue will be on the agenda alongside the development of a policy of non-cooperation with Royal Mail's unrealistic budget cuts. Following this meeting we will be sending a letter to home addresses advising our members of how the Union intends to tackle this problem.

In the meantime branches and representatives are encouraged to take every opportunity to get our members' concerns across in local media. Further assistance in this regard will be communicated early next week.

Please ensure the content of this LtB is widely circulated.

Further information will be sent out in due course.

We were most helpfull during our pegasus revision but after we officially told them 3 times it would not work and why it would not work they didn't even listen. They went ahead and did it anyway and now we have a permenant 10% of agency workers trying to cover the cock ups from pegasus.

Basically, we are doing what we are told and only what we are told. If you volunteer then it becomes your fault (i.e. ask managers which part of your delivery to do today and not say which bit you think you can, that way you aren't responsible for mis-judging the time it takes)

Remember, Pegasus knows best!

With pegasus if you put rubbish info in you get rubbish out, thats why you need someone on our side is fully trained and 100% upto date with it. Royal Mail will always try and sweet talk us into how fair a system it is but DON'T TRUST THEM! you will get stiched up, untill a national agreement have nothing to do with it as the union said months ago and do your job properly

I'd think pegasus will be altered by/with independent advice from work-load experts if we win. IN which case we should all get realistic rounds allocated by it.
