Casual staff working on strike days?

Post by drewmann »

What is the posistion on these alleged 30.000 casual agency staff etc working on days where there is a offical strike

1)can they come in and work in my Mail centre on Thursday?
2) can they work in these outhouses and do our work or not on a strike day, i ask this because the other week Bristol mail centre were taking part in an offical strike and work which was due to be done by them, namely Dorset mail centres 2nd class flats went to this outhouse on the day of action.

I look forward to any help answering the above,i,m just asking as i thought that these casuals were only to be used to clear the backlog after action has taken place.

Thanks

There is a few threads on it in the NEWS forum.

Here's one link.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
