Just turn up on the picket line and say nothing.

Turn up at your usual start time and spend some quality time with your colleagues at the gate. Share a coffee, a sandwich and a few experiences. The loss in wages is made up for by the feeling of superiority and the warm cloak of friendship you suddenly acquire. It is also one of the few opportunities that we have nowadays to talk to each other and share information on the business we work in that can be regarded as the truth.
No need to tell your DOM anything unless he asks if you are coming in. Politely say no and don't be pressured - even if a non union member, you are protected in law from harassment during a legal dispute.

Turn up for your usual duty time. maybe a bit earlier for a car parking space near the office (those who choose to work may have the oppurtunity to be talked into not going in ) and stand on the picket line, as was said before you can get to know the people you work with and lets face it, we spend a third of our day at work (more often more) and never really talk in the environment we now despise. Get to know people and make friends lets gain the possitives. Decide amongst you who will bring in the hot pies, large flasks and cake. I know I will be first thing in the morning

Re: what to do on the day of strike?
In my office our start time (ft) is 6.15,
Consequently all the strike breakers (and there will be quite a few) get in at 4.30 so they don't have to pass any nasty pickets
Dunno what they've got to hide, we always find out who they are anyway!
How can anyone think for a nano-second about going in when RMs 'secret' document lays bear any notion that things will carry on as they are? :cfo :cfo :cfo :cfo :mfo :mfo :mfo
