No one in nottingham has been told anything about going on strike

Our union rep has been on holiday the last couple of weeks but we still know we are going on strike. Notice has been given for a national strike every member should be going out next thursday or friday, have you not seen the news?

Dear Colleague
National Dispute - Strike Action
Further to the positive Ballot Result and LTB 901/09 the Postal Executive have now authorised Strike Action. The strikes are to be held on a functional/site specific basis as detailed below:
Mail Centres/Network
All duties, Scheduled Attendance and overtime commencing at or after 04.00 Thursday 22nd October 2009 and before 04.00 Friday 23rd October 2009.
Delivery, MDECs, Collection Hubs and MTWs on Separate Sites
All duties, Scheduled Attendance and overtime commencing at or after 21.00 Thursday 22nd October 2009 and before 21.00 Friday 23rd October 2009.
We have attached National Guidelines for the Planned Industrial Action to further clarify the initial action scheduled which should assist Branches/Representatives with any enquiries they receive.
Any enquiries associated with this LTB should be directed to the relevant Officer for that function.

Hi royalwud, didn't you get any ballot papers, what about your notice board, have you check that? as for the strike mate, we have notices on our board, we also had meetings with our union rep, I can assure you there will be a national strike,if I were you i called your union area rep,as it clearly not satifactory that you or anyone of your colleagues are not aware of what is going on.
