Just been told I'm no longer on a 1hr contract (as of monday), and have been moved to a 28.45 hr! Will be covering all annual leave and such, so it means a different round every week. Still, at least it gives a bit of job security (if that exists in RM)
Anyhow, I'm quite chuffed! And been told I should be getting holiday for all the hours I've worked since started, not just for the 1hr I've been contracted!
See, it's not ALL gloom and doom here!

Or everyday.so it means a different round every week.
Well done mate, I think you should thank one of the posties here though (forget the screen name) as I believe his court case might have something to do with it.

I think you should thank whitemoor for this because he was the one who took RM to ET and won.

Re: Bye Bye to 1hr Contract
Yup, I mentioned the aforementioned court case to my DOM when I spoke to him. He said he was already working on how much holiday I (and the other two guys on 1hrs) were owed. I know a lot of you have real problems in your offices between management and us working folk, but mine seems to be an exeption. My DOM is actually a really good guy, seems to be on our side. After having spoken to a few of the old-timers in my office, they said he's always stood up for them, and been really reasonable. They're not all bad, I guess!
So how long till he's replaced?
