RM Private Cars on Delivery Procedure
This should of been reviewed 9th sept 09,any ideas anyone?
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: RM Private Cars on Delivery Procedure
The use of private cars is banned in my office and in my area (Kent). We have been informed that it is a conduct code issue if you are caught using your car for delivery, but there are still one or two who use their cars against the advice of the union.

Do you get a lift back to the office? We have been told we must pouch off and aren't entitled to a lift back-not just by management but also by the area union rep.

Still use them in our office although having received a recent LTB from the union, it looks as though it's due to end very soon, and with Royal Mail's blessing

Re: RM Private Cars on Delivery Procedure
we recently moved to a new d.o all 3 towns that were going to be sharing the new d.o were interviewed about how they get to work.people who would now have to get a bus were given a payment of £1900 the car users only £450 as a result most car owners mysteriously claimed to need to get a bus .though i expect a few drop their car of near their walks then leg it to the d.o. but as a result of less people using cars the dom has to sometimes accelarate 2 or 3 people to the start of their walks as ther is no room and not enough vans .in our last d.o many of the walks were right outside office ,so the car owners drove to work but left at d.o, but generally the car users all so drop of 3 or 4 others doing r.mails work for them
