The turnout was low-ish,but it was a 91% yes vote.
Now in EVERY ballot i have been involved in there has always been a low turn out.
London ballot was open for just 10 days and included a bank holiday.
What is the important thing is that the turn out for the strikes is in the very high 90's% so stick that to him.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I think POSTMAN meant the first local London ballot not the national one.

If people are using Bullying and intimidation to stop people crossing picket lines then they would and should be prosecuted. Sorry but as a staunch CWU supporter I don't want CWU members using the same tactics we accuse the bosses of, we are better than that.
Royal Mail give people who don't want to strike plenty of chances to be able to work, so I am guessing that some could not make their mind up until the actual strike occurred and then decided to support it.

by the same token, the bullying and intimidation from Management will only make Staff more determined to Strike, nobody likes to cowed and it will only have the opposite effect, I would become more awkward if somebody puts my back up.
