I applied for flexible working in my unit as my daughter is disabled and requires hospital treatment 4 days a week. I had a meeting with my line manager and CWU rep and it was decided between us that I should follow the DDA route instead.
I have now been refered to ATOS so what can I expect from them, will they need to produce evidence to support my claim, although I already have evidence of this because I am concerned about confidentiality especially as its about my 5 year old daughter, and what do they report to my line manager?

Re: ATOS and DDA
Firstly have you fill in the family friendly form for flexible working, this form should be obtained from your manager. Due to the case of Coleman vs Attridge you would be able to take your employer to an Employment Tribunal for disability discrimination by associaton (because your daughter comes under the DDA, this is why you have been told to go down this route) if you are rejected for time off to care for a dependant.
